Valerie is an expert in multidisciplinary approaches to environment, development and peace issues.
She is Executive Director and President on Board of the Global Water Institute (GWI). Her interests are in water and environmental security policies’ development and implementation. Professor at large, Ndaruzaniye has long standing experiences in lecturing university graduate students and in training civilian and high-ranking military groups in Europe, in the United States (US) and in Sub-Saharan Africa, in mapping scenario strategies related to water and environmental security and conflict prevention and climate security. She is formerly Programme Manager at both the Institute of Multi-Track Diplomacy and Global Water in Washington D.C., US.
Ndaruzaniye is MPA graduated with specialties in Government Affairs and Environmental Health from the School of Public Affairs at American University, Washington D.C. She obtained her BA with majors in Recreational Health and Peacebuilding from Eastern Mennonite University, Virginia, USA.
