Dr Carlo Clini

Dr Carlo Clini is the Director of the Brussels office of the Veneto Region since January 2023, where he previously served as Director of the Department for EU Projects Coordination and Institutional Relations (2009-2014). In between he worked for 8 years at the Permanent Representation of Italy to the European Union.

He earned a Master of Arts in Political Economy at the University of Parma in Italy, a Master of Science in Administrative Studies and a Graduate Certificate in International Relations for Business at Boston University in Brussels and a PhD in International Relations with his thesis on  “Between a Rock of Global Security and a Hard Place of Domestic Growth: China's Role in Climate Action as an Unsuspected Norm Maker” at the University of Kent at Canterbury.
